Headshot 1

Studio Mission

Welcome to my flute studio, where positive reinforcement and encouragement are at the heart of the learning experience! I tailor my teaching approach to meet the unique needs of each student, regardless of age or ability level, ensuring everyone feels successful at each stage of their musical journey. Together, we celebrate achievements big and small, fostering a supportive environment where every player can thrive and grow. Let’s start making music a joyful and rewarding adventure!

Get to Know Me

I picked up the flute for the first time in 2003. I knew instantly that it would be my greatest passion. I sought out all the musical opportunities - playing in youth orchestras and local competitions all throughout my middle and high school years. In college, I had no doubts that I would pursue performance. I received my Bachelor of Music ('16) and Artist Certificate ('18) from Azusa Pacific University where I studied with Gary Woodward before settling in Boise, ID where I studied with Dr. Nicole Molumby and received my Master of Music from Boise State University in 2020.

Playing the flute has brought many amazing opportunities. In my travels, I experimented with improv on a worship team in Prague, took lessons in Spain, and learned the tin whistle in Ireland. I was chosen along with a small group from APU to perform as principal flute with the Yellow River Symphony in China. My love of teaching began early and I had my first student when I was 16. When teaching became more accessible online in 2020, I had the opportunity to teach an international student in China as an adjunct professor for Azusa Pacific University.

I continue to teach and perform in the Treasure Valley. I regularly sub with the Boise Baroque Orchestra and performed for Idaho Shakespeare Festival’s “Into the Woods” in 2024. I also recently recorded the premiere of a new unaccompanied work by composer Taylor Ross called "Tetra" that can be found here. Although my private lesson students occupy the majority of my time, I regularly present workshops through the Capital City Flute Club and perform as principal flute with the Canyon County Symphony.
